Recently hosted a birthday event with The Stone Hotel’s function room, and I would totally recommend this space to everyone! Communication since the initial booking has been nothing but clear and efficient, patient with me from the start covering all queries. Management and bar staff were super friendly and patient come day of function, supporting a fantastic night with little stress. The function space including the outdoor area and bathrooms were in really good condition before the event. Catering and bar packages were of really good value, helping out with the cake as well. Would totally organise future events with The Stone Hotel. ~ monika

Hands down one of the best Parmas in town! If you’re a Parma lover, this place is a non-negotiable. Perfectly crumbed chicken, golden and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, topped with rich napoli sauce, smoky ham, and a generous blanket of melted cheese that stretches with every bite 🤤 Served with crispy chips and a fresh side salad, it’s comfort food done right. Portions are massive, flavours are spot on, and it hits every Parma craving perfectly. Pair it with a cold beer and you’re in absolute pub-food heaven. We had lunch at this great hotel today to celebrate a family event - I haven’t eaten/drunk at Stone Hotel before and what a find! The food was amazing - I had the porterhouse steak (very tender and succulent) and the Parma was a hit for others (great serve size and delicious) in our 11 people group. The sparkling was great value for money and good quality and my younger family members loved a little Prosecco/fruit spritz number. In the absolute heart of Brunswick street, Fitzroy, the space, service, food and drink means this place is a bit of a one of a kind and worthy of my 5stars!! ~ melissa l

Walked into the Stone Hotel on Wednesday & was greeted with such friendliness from Tom & his staff. Wow what a difference from the pub across the road ( Provoncial ) such rude rude staff. During our time at the Stone Hotel we all had delicious meals & would highly recommend anyone looking for a welcoming relaxed atmosphere to visit the Pub. We were walking the streets with a group of 12 youth, who kept walking past many food options. And happened upon The Stone Hotel. The kids immediately found a table and the decision was made before we even stepped in the door. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the food was great and portion sizes were huge. The food was perfect. They adjusted the ingredients in my burger for my food allergies and my preferences. Perfect proportion for my hunger. The Southern Fried chicken burger is super tasty and the chicken is super juicy. The setting was nice too, the brick wall is a nice touch. Would recommended. 😋💛 ~ Amèlie R

If you're considering this venue to hold a function it's fantastic. The upstairs function room was spacious, included it's own full bar, an outdoor smoking section on the balcony and it's own bathrooms. The finger food was fantastic and the venue allows for various setups. Staff were very attentive and customer focused. ~ Mark C

I don’t usually write reviews but after lunch yesterday I had to. My partner and I had the $20 lunch special we had a steak each and it was so good. The steak was delicious, chips crunchy, mushroom sauce was also amazing. We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a pub and we’ll be back soon 10/10 ~ Matthew K

This place was pretty bloody brilliant. There was no-one else there when were visited which raised alarm bells.....BUT that's their loss! Could not fault the food, service, price, ambience or drinks. The music was pretty good, too. You got to love a place that's playing Dropkick Murphy's when you walk in. ~ Cat B

Came for the Tuesday night dancing and had a smashing time! A warm, swanky, comfortable spot that managed to make me feel right at home pounding out a beat or sipping a cocktail! Great thanks to the hosts and owners for maintaining a community and a community spot -- takes a lot of effort to hit that balance and it pays off. ~ Hana B

Absolutely perfect place. My favourite thing about this hotel was how nice the gut behind the bar was to us. People like that make it all so much better. Shout out to him. This was yesterday the 17th of March. ~ Joshua G

Great food & atmosphere! A small technological mix up with our order was quickly rectified by the staff who were extremely apologetic for something that wasn't their fault!! We'll definitely come again when in that part of town!! ~ Jacqui S

delicious cocktails!! one of the best happy hour deals i've found in the area with almost everything including cocktails discounted on fridays 4-7pm & 10pm-12am on saturdays!!! will be back any chance we get 😍 ~ Holly-J S

Bartender called me a Muppet for ordering a Vodka Raspberry. I had to accept the shame in hindsight. Great banter, you want that sort of character at a Bar. 6/5, would defs get asked to leave (kicked out) again. High t ~ Warwick M

Came for the dancing! Had an amazing night dancing to music that was definitely 10 years or even older which was awesome as I actually knew all the words. Floors can be sticky but so can everywhere else when you go out. The staff were awesome. ~ Lisa

Love this place look out for the specials they are always yummy. I have had the steak a few times $20 with the purchase of a drink. The chips are the best. GREAT PRICES. staff are friendly. Very clean. Dog are welcome. ~ Hels T

Dropped in for lunch with my 21yo daughter on the way to the footy. Really enjoyable lunch. Super friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Quick service, great pub food. I had the bangers and mash, daughter had the veggie Berger. Plate licking good. ~ Martin B

We heard about the Scotch steak and we weren’t disappointed. The parma was equally as good, great size with lots of cheese. A very welcoming venue with great atmosphere and service. What else can you ask for. ~ Simon

My family and I we were pleasantly surprised, real beautiful pub food at a very affordable prices. Everything we had was delicious! Steak, parmi and dumplings. I had the parmi and it was a great size and delicious with chips and salad. ~ Marcie D

Very nice place to have a great pub meal. The chef came out himself to double check with my friend about her order when she had an alteration she wanted, which was very lovely of him. Parma was large and delicious, would come again. ~ I. Q

Monday is steak night. It was amazing. We braved a pretty big down pour to get there and we were thrilled to do so after dinner. Portions are perfect and our med rare steaks melted in our mouths. We will be back. ~ Jan V
